Stargate SG-1 - Goa’uld - Hathor.
Hathor was the mate (and daughter) of Ra and the mother to Heru’ur.
She was stranded on Earth for thousands of years, imprisoned in her own sarcophagus somewhere in South or Central America. She was awoken by archaeologists who found her sarcophagus.
Sensing the presence of the Stargate thousands of miles away, she travelled there. After a failed attempt to take over the SGC, using her ‘pink breath’ - a powerful drug - to make all men obey her, she left Earth to build her powerbase slowly, hiding for the other Goa’uld that she had returned.
She seemed happy Ra had been killed, so she could take power on her own. She seduced Daniel, in order to use some of his DNA to make her offspring more compatible with their future human hosts. Hathor is a queen in both the royal sense and in the sense that she is the kind of Goa’uld that give birth to new Goa’uld larvae. She owns a modified healing device, with which she is able to create Jaffa.
Hathor later captured Sam, Daniel, and O’Neill, in order to gain knowledge about the Galaxy from them. The undercover Tok’ra hiding among Hathor’s people sent a message to the other Tok’ra, who contacted the SGC, to inform them of where their people where. The Tok’ra inside Hathor’s compound later helped SG-1 avoid implantation by a Goa’uld, and to escape.
Hathor was plummeted into a cryogenic freezing chamber without a cryogenic freezing unit around her for protection, and so she probably died.
We have seen Hathor in the episodes “Hathor”, “Out of Mind”, and “Into the Fire”. In addition, she is mentioned in “Thor’s Chariot”. Hathor is played by Suanne Braun.
Galaxie mohou mít mnoho podob, od eliptických ve tvaru koule, přes spirální ve tvaru větrníku nebo spirály až po nepravidelné. Nicméně pozorujeme i některé zajímavější a vzácnější tvary galaxií ve tvaru prstence, jako třeba tato na snímku, označovaná Zw II 28. Prstencové galaxie jsou tajemné objekty, většinou vzniklé pomocí gravitačního působení nebo průniku s jinou galaxií. Tyto kolize ovšem nejsou tak destruktivní a nemění tolik původní tvar galaxie. Narušený materiál gravitačním působením obou galaxií se přerozdělí v husté centrální jádro, obklopené jasnými hvězdami v prstenci. To vše způsobí nový překotný zrod hvězd v molekulárních mračnech plynu a prachu, které se zaplní mladými, hmotnými, horkými hvězdami a regiony (růžová, fialová). Tato růžovofialová smyčka není typická prstencová galaxie, protože není patrný centrální společník. Po mnoho let se myslelo, že je to osamělý kruh na obloze, ale nová pozorování pomocí HST ukázala, že tam může být společník číhající na vnitřním okraji silnější části prstence (jasná žlutá oblast na vnitřním okraji).

Under the weather? Screencap! Nicely distracting :) The core crew seeing Destiny for the first time through the eyes of a kino on the shuttle is so moving. I love that moment. And Eli & Chloe’s faces, contemplating death…..
So many amazing caps and still photos from this episode exist - the lighting is so extraordinary - but you can still find more moments in it.
Damn the cinematography on SGU was fantastic.
